Why portwarp does not work while a VPN is enabled

Portwarp Team /

portwarp does not support running while a VPN is enabled on the same device.

VPN apps often replace your default route, change DNS behavior, block local listeners, or force traffic through a private adapter. That can prevent the portwarp client from reaching your local service or keeping a stable tunnel session.

Before starting portwarp, disconnect your VPN completely. After the VPN is off, restart the portwarp client and confirm your local service is reachable on the same port you selected in your tunnel.

If your company or school requires a VPN, use portwarp on a separate device or server that is not connected to that VPN. Keeping both enabled on the same machine can cause unstable connections, failed tunnel starts, or unreachable public URLs.
